Fingers and toes were crossed overnight, and it worked as the predicted rain clouds had vanished by the morning, and a solid group of nine lucked out, with fabulous weather for our walk from Karepiro Bay to Stillwater, and back to Dacre Cottage. We had two peaceful stops beside the water for morning and afternoon tea, and no falls despite spots of very muddy track. All good, as the low tide beach walk back helped clean our boots.
