We were promised steps, bush and views and this walk certainly delivered all three!
Eight of us ventured up the steep slope to the Mt Donald McLean summit and lookout on a beautiful spring day. At the top we had spectacular views of Huia, Whatipu, Manukau Heads and stunning azure water. After descending from the summit, it was time to retrace our steps back through Karamatura Valley & Karamatura Waterfall to the carpark.
Thanks, Carol, for a fun and challenging walk with a great group of WOPpers.
